A Druid is born
I've always like Druids, I don't really know why. Maybe it's their cool shape shifting abilities, and the idea that they are creatures of nature. Either way, I'd like to welcome Druanteea the Night Elf Druid into the game.
Where did I get the name Druanteea from? Well one of the best parts of creating a toon is the naming. I'm not the most imaginative when it comes to names, but I wanted something that reflected both a Night Elf and a Druid.
Night Elves tend to have multi syllable names. In Celtic lore, Druantia is a Celtic Goddess known as Queen of the Druids, and mother of the tree calendar. This name was perfect for what I wanted, except it was taken. I wasn't going to let it go though, so I just changed the i for ee. The name is still pronounced the same, so that will have to do.
Druanteea resides on the Ghostlands realm. As a newbie Night Elf, her starting home is on a little Island called Teldrassil. The main city on this Island is Darnassus, and it's in this city that I managed to get a nice little snapshot with the most famous and beautiful Tyrande Whisperwind, and her hideously ugly and forever sleeping lazy husband, Malfurion.
I decided enough was enough for the night, I had achieved enough for just a few hours of play.
As of now I am level 12. I gained the exploring Teldrassil Achievement, the 50 quests Achievement, and managed to nab a rare crested owl while pet battling. I specialised as a balance Druid as damage from a distance is more my style of play. I haven't decided a career path yet, but there is loads of time for that.
The strange part of the whole night was playing an alliance character. Moving to an area that said "alliance territory" in green lettering looked very odd. I will get used to it though, and I will enjoy exploring the areas that I can't on my Warlock. I'll also be able to get the double agent achievement when I eventually level to 90. I'm in no hurry to level though. Having read the War of the Agents Trilogy, I am going to want to follow this story line quite closely.
To top off a good night of playing I was invited to join a nice little guild called New Salvation, and I'm sure I will fit in quite well. Looking forward to more Ally playtime.
