Day 6, Level 85-86

Welcome to Pandaria

After a 3 day break to catch up with some Game of Thrones viewing, It was time to head to Pandaria. I had the all aboard quest in my log, so I headed off to Bladefist Bay again to find the gunship. This is an airship and not a sea ship, so you need to be looking up in order to find it. Upon arriving in Pandaria, the gunship gets attacked and it's all go for you. No time to look around and admire the new scenery. The first thing I noticed was the XP earned for quests was huge. 122000 on average compared to the 40000 average I had been currently used to.

After completing several quest chains, and maxing out my quest log, I decided that I wanted to go back to The Maelstrom before hitting level 86. I also wanted to complete at least one more normal Cataclysm dungeon.
Hurrah, I managed to complete all 110 quests, and some more. Upon completing these quests the daily quests opened up for me.  I had been starting to wonder where the daily quests were as I had some achievements to get with them. I was about 1 quest away from dinging 86 so I queued specifically for the Stone Core to complete 2 more extra quests. After a 20 min Queue I found a group, and although completing the "Wayward Child" quest and the "lost documents" quest, I did miss out on the quest to kill the final boss. Turning in these final quests brought me to level 86.

An after thought
Upon reaching 85, it is essential for levelling purposes to move to Pandaria. I spent around 5 hours questing in The Maelstrom and a dungeon, to gain one quarter of my XP bar.
Perhaps it would be a better idea to head on straight to 90 before returning to Azeroth for the Loremaster quests.
